Living in a one-room house can get a little too crowded especially during busy days when you no longer have the time to pick little clutters up. Here are a few tips on how to make your one-room house look more spacious.
1
Put out everything you don’t need. Maintain only the furniture or appliances that you frequently use.
2
Use sofa beds or foldable sofas. Folding sofas are very space conserving. Use these instead of the typical couch styles.
3
Use hanging cabinets. You can save a lot of floor space if you use hanging cabinets.
4
Use boxes to organize small things. Small clutters can make your room look small. Organize your small stuff by putting them inside boxes.
5
Don’t put your bed in the middle of your room. Putting a big bed right in the middle of your room can make your room look overloaded.
6
Most appliances or furniture should be placed on the sides. As much as possible, show some floor space. Doing so can make your room look more spacious.
7
Use bean bags. Bean bags are mobile and space-consuming couches.
8
Get a magazine rack. Books and magazines are common clutters which can make a room look too crowded. Keep a rack ready and at reach.
9
Get a hamper ready. Scattered laundry everywhere can make your room look overloaded as well. Make sure you have a hamper to contain all your used clothes.
10
Make sure your room is always clean. Keep you room clean and orderly.
