Tear a chunk of paper off and pop it into your mouth.

Chew it.

Suck it.

Make it mushy.

With your tongue, form it into a round shape.

Put your ruler into your mouth.

Slide the ball onto the end of the ruler.

Remove the ruler from your mouth.

Hold the ruler at the lower end, and pull back on the end with the mush on it.

Point and aim.

Release the mush end.

As quickly as possible replace the ruler on your desk, drop your head, and work studiously.
