The next cold front that hits allows plenty of opportunity to spend some time with the family. If you are able to, make a fire and gather around it. It is not a bad idea if you switch the main room light off, as it does create a cosier and more intimate atmosphere.

Tell stories of your childhood.

Let everyone have a turn playing his or her favourite tune on a CD player, even if it is for a 5 year old, or nobody recognizes the tune because it’s too old.

Play card games.

Roast marshmallows.
