How to Do a Three Legged Race

It can be tricky doing a three legged race so try to get your steps to synchronise right from the start.

Try choosing a partner that is the same height as you.

Try and fit in a quick practice before the race getting your strides the same length each time you take a step.

Decide before the race begins if you are going to first step forward with the inside two feet (acting as one foot) that are tied together, or with the outside feet. Think of yourselves as one being with three legs.

Walk, or even run, normally.

If either partner loses the pace, stop.

Count down from three, and on one, both step forward with the same feet you first stepped forward with at the start line.
